I use a lot of mediums in my work as I am, personally, satisfied blending rich texture and vibrant color. This piece has a VERY unique story. Under the red stripe I had used medium to give the area some texture. The media, unbeknownst to me, arranged to form a very distinct, albeit abstract, image depicting the crucifixion. It is really noticeable up close.
The piece commands the room with its size, color, and intentionally minimalistic design.
